Courteous Mass rides are leisurely, law-abiding group bicycle rides around Athens. The purpose of Courteous Mass is :

1) to provide a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for all ages and skill levels to ride bicycles, and

2) to demonstrate that bicycles, vehicles under state law, belong on our public streets and roadways.

Courteous Mass rides are held on the 1st Friday of the month, from April - September, starting at City Hall in downtown Athens at 6:00 pm.
